Woodworm treatment and control

Woodworm is a wood boring insect; common forms are Anobium Punctatum (common Furniture Beetle), and Hylotrupes Bagulus (House Longhorn Beetle). They are a notifiable pest and as such have to be reported to the Building Research Establishment.

We will prepare a detailed report containing our recommendations for necessary woodworm treatment and remedial works required, if any.

If treatment is needed this is usually by a Micro emulsion low odour spray which eradicates the problem. Where possible, repair can be carried out using Timber Resin. If woodworm is left untreated it can cause structural collapse.
